ABOUT

FTS

People need to know the rest of the story...

Follow The Star (FTS) is a live, outdoor production that portrays the life of Christ through 10 live scenes that people can either view by walking or driving through. Many people know about Jesus as the baby in the manger at Christmas time, but the mission of FTS is to tell “the rest of the story.” When asked, “Why the crucifixion scene during the Christmas season?” Pastor Steven Headley answered, “People need to know the rest of the story. This production is our gift to the community. Just as Jesus met the spiritual, emotional, and physical needs of people, we intend to do the same through this production.”

The production features professional lighting, audio, elaborate costumes, and a giant spotlight in the sky. It takes over 300 cast and crew to bring this production to life, but what is more important is the experience you will have when you follow the life of Christ as it happens right in front of you. Follow The Star has become a holiday tradition for so many people in central Texas. Maybe it is time to make it your tradition as well. More than 75,000 people have come to see what the light in the sky is all about over the last 13 years, and what they found was the baby in the manger, the man on the cross, and the Savior of the world! There is no admission fee, instead, participants are asked to bring non-perishable canned goods to help meet the needs of families in the Cedar Park and Leander communities.

Over the years, this event has generated over 30 tons of food, as well as generous monetary donations

of just over $41,000 to help provide food for those who are in need. We invite you and your family to join us

this year as we celebrate our 13th Anniversary of Follow The Star at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church

this coming December 5-7, 2024.
