Mark your calendar and plan to join us for a hopping good time at Good Shepherd's Annual Easter Egg Hunt!

We will start our activities at 9:00 AM, which include a petting zoo, crafts, games, and a festive photo opportunity for the whole family! The first egg hunt for children four years old and younger will be at 9:45 AM, then a devotional, and our final hunt will begin at 10:15 AM! We can't wait to have an egg-tastic time with you!

PALM SUNDAY

Have you ever loved someone so much you were able to let go of your rights, your pride, even your preferences for their sake? On Palm Sunday we look at how Jesus entered Jerusalem, the capital of Israel, at the start of what is called Passion Week, the days leading up to His death and resurrection. Why did He choose to ride a donkey…why not a horse, or a chariot? What Kingdom was Jesus restoring? What does this choice say about the love of Jesus and why does it matter to us today?

People let us down, it’s a fact of life. Despite our best intents, we let others down as well. How can there be trust when we can’t follow through on our best intentions? When Jesus had His last dinner with His disciples, the night before His death, He looked out at a group of men who would, among other things, deny they knew him, betray him, and run away from him. And yet, He spoke of them as friends, washed their feet, and spoke encouraging words of comfort to them. What kind of love is this, that knows the worst but believes the best? Can we have this kind of love today?

There is no better proof that love conquers all than the resurrection of Jesus! It doesn’t matter what we’ve done, been through, or are facing today or in the future…God’s love is able to overcome it all. In the end, love remains, and you are a NEW Creation!
